Retaining Walls & Grade Correction

Engineered retaining walls that hold slopes and open up usable yard.

Residential • Commercial • Portland & Vancouver Metro

Overview

Segmental block, boulder, and timber retaining walls engineered for the PNW — with drainage and reinforcement built in.

A retaining wall is only as good as its base and its drainage. Every wall we build starts with a compacted foundation, includes drain rock and pipe behind the wall, and uses geo-grid reinforcement when height and load call for it.

Beyond holding back soil, a good wall turns wasted slope into usable yard, garden beds, or a level patio pad.

FAQs

Retaining Walls Questions

How tall can a retaining wall be?

Walls under 4 feet typically don't need engineering. Taller walls require engineered plans, which we coordinate for you.

What's the best material for a retaining wall?

It depends on the site and look. Segmental block is versatile and clean; boulder walls feel natural; timber is budget-friendly for shorter walls.

Do retaining walls need drainage?

Yes — always. Water buildup behind a wall is the #1 reason walls fail. We install drain rock and perforated pipe on every wall.
